Confusing feedback with promotion
Some of our clients have started using ReviewScale to collect feedback. Great!. Until they start showing other customers what the feedback is. The reason why we have an option to make your forms private is that you can selectively promote positive feedback.A marketing lession 101 is to show your ‘positive’ side. Feedback should not get in way of promotion.
One of the meanings of ‘Promote’ on Dictionary.com is “to encourage the sales, acceptance, etc., of (a product), esp. through advertising or other publicity”. The question is how do you encourage sales of a service or product when you get negative feedback?.
